The Birds Section produces the Yorkshire Bird Report and maintains the official county list.  The YNU encourages all birders, whether lone or members of clubs, groups or societies, to submit bird records via the BTO's BirdTrack.  For further information about this decision, please follow this link.

YNU members receive the Yorkshire Bird Report as a benefit of membership. The 2016 Bird Report was published in August 2020 and the 2017 Report in July 2021.

The Birds Section would like to thank the writers, editors, photographers, illustrators, sponsors and of course everyone who contributed bird records to produce this excellent report.  Work is well underway on the 2018/19 report which should be published in 2022.

Issues of the Yorkshire Bird Report from 1960 to 2017 can usually be ordered from our website shop (However we regret that due to the current Covid-19 situation our sales department is temporarily unable to take orders for publications). Historic Bird Reports from 1970 to 2010 are available to download from our website by following the link at the bottom of this page.
