The Birds Section produces the Yorkshire Bird Report and maintains the official county list.  The YNU encourages all birders, whether lone or members of clubs, groups or societies, to submit bird records via the BTO's BirdTrack.  For further information about this decision, please follow this link.

YNU members receive the Yorkshire Bird Report as a benefit of membership.  The 2014 Bird Report was published in April 2018, it has been sent to all members and is available to purchase from Spurn Bird Observatory, RSPB shops at Old Moor and Bempton and from Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at North Cave Wetlands and Potteric Carr.  The Birds Section would like to thank the writers, editors, photographers, illustrators, sponsors and of course everyone who contributed bird records to produce this excellent report.  We are also grateful to members for their patience while waiting for publication of the 2014 Bird Report, and assure you that work is well underway on the 2015 report.

Issues of the Yorkshire Bird Report from 1960 to 2014 can be ordered from our website shop.  Historic Bird Reports from 1970 to 2004 are available to download from our website by following the link at the bottom of this page.
