2016 Bird Report now available

The 2016 Yorkshire Bird Report is now published!

The report incorporates maps, graphs, illustrations, photo gallery and detailed species accounts. Articles include finding the (very famous) first Siberian Accentor for Yorkshire, the first Stejneger’s Stonechat (and only third for UK!) for Yorkshire, the occurrence of Eastern Black Redstarts in Yorkshire and a fascinating account detailing a long-term study of breeding Honey-buzzards in the North York Moors Nat. Park.

The report covers all 303 species recorded in Yorkshire during 2016 and a summary of the year’s bird highlights is amply described in the Annual Highlights which precedes the Systematic List.

All YNU members receive a copy free of charge.  If you would like to order a copy, please visit our website shop.
