Across Yorkshire there has been a total of 465 bird species recorded. Two species from this total have a slight question mark hanging over them and they are either/or:

  • Fea's/Desertas Petrel and
  • Turkestan/ Daurian Shrike

Western Subalpine Warbler and Eastern Subalpine Warbler are split, and the sequence is revised in a number of families, with recognition of Curruca in the Sylviidae and Zapornia in the Rallidae.
