Meeting Place: We will meet at Wassand Road, TA171466 near the entrance to the grounds of Wassand Hall at the western end of the Mere at 10.30 am. Wassand Hall is located between Seaton and Hornsea, about 12 miles east of Beverley and 18 miles north of Hull. When driving from Seaton towards Hornsea on the A1035 (formerly B1244), the turning to the Hall is the first right after Seaton village. The lane is not signed, but comes immediately after a left turn signposted Bewholme, and it has a triangle of grass at the entrance. For those driving from the East on the A1035, the turning is the first on the left after Seaton Garage. There is a regular bus service between Hull, Beverley and Hornsea, but you may need to ask the driver to stop by the entrance to the lane. We will be able to use toilets in the grounds.

Tea and Meeting: We will meet in the education room at Wassand Hall at 16:00 on Saturday 1st July. Self-catering facilities will be available for tea/coffee and cakes. Members will be able to request the use of the bird hide located on the west side of the lake (£5 per person) and/or visit the grounds, gardens and woodland Picnic area (£7 per person).
