Hull Natural History Society has arranged access to the Defence School of Transport training area at Leconfield, just north of Beverley from 18:00 on Friday 26th May until 16:00 on Sunday 28th May. They have also agreed that interested naturalists who are not members of our Society can be invited as well. The Leconfield site is a large area (about 2 km²) with varied habitats, including wetland and ponds, that has not been treated with pesticides since the 1930’s when the MoD took it over.
