The Postal Microscopical Society (PMS) will be holding it annual Autumn Meeting between 9.30am and 4:00pm on Saturday 7th October 2023 – 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Village Memorial Hall, Arthington Lane, Pool-in-Wharfedale, Otley, West Yorkshire, LS21 1LG.

There will be exhibits, gossip, sales and lectures! Also, there will be a substantial number of microscopes for sale at bargain prices; they have been donated to the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) to raise funds for their Microscopes for schools project. The prices here will be lower than what you can buy on E-bay or Facebook Marketplace

This is an event that is also well attended by members of Leeds Microscopical Society which has a number of beekeepers in its membership.

In attendance will be, amongst others, Mike Smith (LMS & PMS), Mike Samworth (LMS & PMS) and myself, Kirit Gordhandas (YBKA, LMS & PMS). All three of us will be known to YBKA members as we have shown beekeepers, amongst other things, how to use a microscope, how to make pollen slides, how to use a microscope for bee disease and how to do bee dissections under the microscope.
